What is InResST® Recycled Nylon?

We now have knitwear products like knitted pullovers, knitted cardigans, knitted dresses, etc made fromInResST® Recycled Nylon.

Let me introduce the InResST® Recycled Nylon to you.

1. What is InResST® Recycled Nylon?

InResST® recycled nylon staple fiber products are derived from discarded fishing nets, generated by deep-sea fishery activitiesAnd then produced by low-carbon factories. We together with local government and NGOs to communicate the knowledges to fishermen and encourage them to bring used nylon nets from sea to the Recvcle station. Each local responsible of the recycle station transports the discarded fishing nets to our manufacturing plant on a regular base. After the ghost fishing nets are brought into the factory, they are made into sparkling clean Chips (PA6)through the modern and efficient assembly line.

By using the post-consumed staple nylon, blended with organic cotton, recycled polyester, ecovero, modal, RWS wool etc. Develop yarns of various proportions。

2.Where does InResST ®Recycled Nylon come from?

Human dependence on the ocean seems endless, and the ability of marine ecosystems to repair themselves is limited.

Marine garbage is a serious problem in the world, of which about 1/3 are abandoned fishing nets.

Due to various factors such as the loss or abandonment of fishing vessels or fishermen, up to 640000 tons of abandoned fishing nets sink to the bottom of the sea every year.

3. Why make InResST ®Recycled Nylon?

Abandoned fishing nets drift in the sea, entangling marine life, resulting in ecosystem imbalance.

The World Society for the Protection of Animals estimates that each abandoned fishing net may trap 30 to 40 marine life.

So it is called Ghost Nets.

Abandoned fishing nets take as long as 600 to 800 years to decompose naturally, about 200 years longer than plastic bags.

Become a great threat to marine ecology.

InResST ® recovers nets used in deep-sea fisheries and offshore aquaculture. Using the efficient and scientific production mode of zero-carbon factory, nylon abandoned fishing net was made into recycled nylon with similar properties to native nylon by means of physical recovery and physical modification.

4.Environmental benefits of InResST ®Recycled Nylon

The whole regeneration process promotes a circular economy and provides additional income for local fishermen.

Recycled nylon raw materials have been certified by OBP marine plastics, effectively reducing the impact of abandoned fishing nets on marine ecology. Colleagues have also reduced the dependence of textile production on highly polluting native nylon. The regeneration process gives new life to abandoned fishing nets.
